What appeals to me most about this project is automating business processes with n8n and bringing in the knowledge I gained from my previous n8n workflow designs which included customizations with JavaScript where the standard notes were not sufficient.
With n8n I design and maintain workflows. I have already performed the tasks required in the project: integrations via REST APIs, webhooks and JSON, custom workflow logic in JavaScript, processing and transforming structured data in JSON, XML and CSV, as well as error handling and monitoring of execution with alerts and retries.
As experienced SW designer I'm used to data handling in JSON, XML and CSV formats. Programming with databases and APIs are common tasks for me. Since 2011 I operate own Linux servers and n8n is part of my setup since 2025. In the AI area I used n8n for a Telegram AI agent with access to Google cloud data and for Retrieval Augmented Generation where n8n built the data chunks, generated vectors by calling an OpenAI embedding model, and stored them in a vector data base.
