Professional experience in hardware design and development and in RF Engineering has been at the centre of my career. As Head of RF Integration at Ubidyne I was responsible for around 240 RF assemblies from DC to 3.6 Gb/s, including multistandard transceiver modules for active antennas. At Siemens I developed an RX frontend module for GSM base stations, from architecture and circuit design to production introduction. At Alcatel-Lucent I verified and optimised an RX path with LNA, filters, demodulator and ADC, and my redesign of the RF frontend receiver achieved a 28% area reduction with better performance. At Infineon I worked on the chip to PCB transitions of 77 GHz radar MMICs. Professional experience in hardware design and development and in RF Engineering has been at the centre of my career. Working on the RF hardware of an airborne radio system appeals to me in particular, because I have developed RF frontends, transceivers and modules for radio and communication systems throughout much of my career, and this project brings that expertise together in a new and demanding application.
